Discover the enchanting Amalfi Coast with us

Dint’ a Torre

Once you arrive at our Dint’ a Torre in the village of Pontone, overlooking the coast from above, you will breathe a sigh of relief and can relax. You are in the middle of nature, in the quiet and outside the city chaos. A sense of peace that the place conveys certainly does not mean boredom, but is the best antidote to stress and the often hectic life of the working days. the Stay will be in a ‘real home’, with its services, its comforts, its warmth, its rules.

Pearls of the Coast

The places on the Amalfi Coast that are true pearls are numerous. Amalfi with its splendid Duomo and Ravello are among them. Particularly in the mountain village overlooking the sea, we suggest you do not miss the gardens and villas.
Ravello dominates the coast from above with its Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. Famous for music, the town will delight you with a year-round music programme in the famous Oscar Nymayer Auditorium. Also unmissable is Positano, with its colourful houses, picturesque alleyways and beaches.

Capri

A holiday on the Amalfi Coast is also an opportunity to visit the other beauties of Campania. The blue enchantment of Capri, the breath of history of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the ancient city of Paestum with its temples: these are just a few ideas for excursions departing from the Amalfi Coast. All are easily accessible by car, public transport and in summer also by sea.

Travelling from one enchantment to another: a sea trip will take you from the divine Coast to Capri, the Blue Island, to discover the myth. In summer, it is possible to reach the destination by hydrofoil from Positano and Amalfi, while in winter one must first arrive in Sorrento and from there embark for Capri.

Sorrento

The land of the Sirens sung about by Homer, one of the unmissable stops on the Grand Tour: a place that still fascinates and seduces. If you are in Positano, it is definitely worth stretching north along the coast to visit Sorrento.
Among the must-see sights are the Museo della Tarsia Lignea (the ancient art of wood carving) and the historic Museo Correale. A stroll through the lively old town, crowded with workshops and artisans’ shops, is an excellent opportunity for shopping and buying a few souvenirs at lower prices than on the Amalfi Coast. From Sorrento to Positano takes about twenty minutes by bus or car.

Pompeii and Herculaneum

A stroll through history, between Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Roman cities buried by the explosion of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum are about an hour’s drive from the Amalfi Coast. To reach them, you must first arrive in Sorrento and from there take the Circumvesuviana train to Naples.
To get to Pompeii, the journey will take about 30 minutes to the ‘Pompei Villa dei Misteri’ station, which will take you directly in front of the entrance to the excavations. If you arrive by car from Salerno, you should choose the exit ‘Pompei Est’, ‘Pompei Ovest’ if you arrive from Naples.
Herculaneum is a 40-minute train ride from Sorrento and the reference stop is Ercolano Scavi. From here, follow the directions.

Both archaeological sites will leave you open-mouthed by the beauty and richness of the historical and artistic artefacts.

Paestum

A stop-off in Cilento, at Paestum, amidst Greek temples, historical suggestions… and the best mozzarella in Campania! South of the Amalfi Coast is Paestum, the ancient city of Magna Graecia, an unmissable stop on the Grand Tour to visit its temples. Paestum is home to three great Greek temples: the temple of Hera, Neptune and Athena.
For lovers of typical local cuisine, then, a trip to Paestum from the Amalfi Coast is an excellent opportunity to stop along the way, in the Piana del Sele, to stock up on mozzarella from some of Campania’s best dairies (two names above all: Vannulo and Rivabianca).
From the Amalfi Coast, the most convenient way to get to Paestum is to hire a car or book a private transfer.
If you choose public transport, you will need to arrive at Salerno Central Station and from there reach Paestum by train.
